Build your business. Keep your books clear. Discuss everything in English.
Running an IT consultancy or software business in Cyprus often means working with clients in several countries, paying for online tools and keeping track of more than one payment channel. Asticrest helps you bring those records together, so you can spend more time on your clients and your product.
From our Limassol office, our native English-speaking staff support independent IT consultants, developers and small software teams, including foreign-owned Cyprus businesses. You can ask questions, understand what we need and discuss your records in English.
Bookkeeping that fits the way you work
- Recording client invoices, credit notes, sales, purchases and business expenses.
- Reconciling bank accounts and payment-provider statements, including fees and transfers.
- Organising receipts for software subscriptions, hosting, equipment and contractor costs.
- Keeping foreign-currency transactions and supporting documents organised.
- Identifying missing records and explaining what needs your attention.
Whether you invoice for project work, ongoing support or subscriptions, we agree a practical records process with you before we start.
Support as your business grows
We can agree support with VAT registration, returns and VIES, payroll and provisional tax calculations. For a clearer view of business performance, ask about monthly management accounts.
Working with overseas customers can raise VAT questions. Tell us where your customers are based, whether they are businesses or consumers and what you supply, so we can establish the appropriate support and information needed for your filings.
What to send us each month
- Sales invoices and credit notes.
- Purchase invoices and receipts, including online subscriptions.
- Bank and payment-provider statements.
- Details of employees and any payroll changes, if payroll is included.
- Customer and supplier details needed to review your VAT records.
We will explain the format and timing that work for your business. You do not need to speak Greek to discuss your bookkeeping with us.
Common bookkeeping problems for IT businesses
- Payment-provider deposits arriving net of fees: match the gross invoice, fee and payout rather than treating the deposit as total sales.
- Subscriptions paid from personal cards: provide the supplier invoice and identify who paid, so business costs and owner balances can be recorded correctly.
- Foreign-currency invoices and transfers: supply both invoice and settlement records to explain exchange differences and avoid recording transfers twice.
- Unpaid milestones and recurring invoices: identify cancelled work, credits and overdue balances so the sales ledger reflects the current position.
Monthly reports worth reviewing
Where management reporting is included in your engagement, agree a monthly profit and loss report, customer balances by age, a cash position and a breakdown of subscriptions and contractor costs. Project or recurring-revenue analysis can be added if your records support it; bookkeeping reports do not automatically calculate subscription metrics such as churn.
A practical monthly check
Compare client invoices with work delivered, review overdue payments and check whether recurring software costs still serve the business. Resolve missing invoices before the month is closed.
See our micro-business package from €85/month + VAT; eligibility and limits are agreed for your business.
Starting, switching or catching up?
If you are getting started, use our Cyprus bookkeeping checklist. If you already have a provider, we can help you switch your bookkeeping to Asticrest. If records have fallen behind, ask about catch-up bookkeeping.
Your questions, answered in English
Can we work together remotely?
Yes. We can agree how you send digital records and communicate with our Limassol team, so you can manage your business wherever your work takes you.
Can you support a small business with overseas clients?
Yes. We will discuss your customer locations, invoicing, payment channels and records to agree the support your business needs.
How are fees agreed?
Fees depend on transaction volume, bank and payment accounts, currencies, staff numbers and any work needed to bring records up to date. We agree the scope and fees before we start. Annual accounts, audit and specialist advice are discussed separately where needed.
Tell us about your business
Let us know what you do, approximately how many transactions you have each month, where your clients are based and whether you employ staff. We will explain the next steps in English and agree a clear scope of work.
