  • See Cyprus Registration for Foreign Companies for our dedicated service.
  • For employer registration and ongoing payroll administration, see Payroll Services in Cyprus. Explain your Cyprus activities so any separate tax or legal questions can be assessed.

Non-Dom Status Applications

  • Asticrest assists individuals with applications to obtain confirmation of Cyprus non-domiciled (non-dom) tax status from the Cyprus Tax Department.
  • We help identify the supporting information required, organise documents, prepare and submit the application within the agreed scope, and follow up with the Tax Department.
  • Confirmation is subject to the applicable eligibility requirements and the authority’s assessment. Non-dom status and Cyprus tax residence are separate matters; tell us if you also need a tax residency certificate.

Tax Residency Certificates

  • Assistance with tax residency certificate applications, supporting documents and follow-up with the Cyprus Tax Department.
  • Tell us the relevant tax year and intended use of the certificate so the application requirements can be identified.
  • Certificates are issued by the authority, subject to eligibility and supporting evidence.
  • We also assist with tax clearance certificate requests and the information needed by the relevant authority.

Related Filings

  • Company income tax returns: organise the financial information and supporting records required by the professional responsible for the return, and confirm the tax year and current submission date with the Cyprus Tax Department.
  • Annual returns and financial statements: identify the company’s annual-return date and the documents required by the Registrar of Companies. Agree responsibility for preparation and submission separately.
  • Employer filings: coordinate payroll-related tax submissions and social insurance records with the payroll provider, where applicable.
  • Bookkeeping, tax advice, return submission and audit are separate services. Agree who prepares, checks and submits each filing; the bookkeeping engagement alone does not include tax returns, payroll submissions, annual returns or audited financial statements.
  • Cyprus company directors remain responsible for accounting records and financial statements. Keep the supporting records organised and resolve missing documents before filing.

Records, reporting and responsibilities

  • Cyprus company directors remain responsible for the company’s accounting records and financial statements. Appointing a bookkeeper supports that responsibility.
  • Company accounting books and records generally need to be retained for six years after the end of the calendar year to which they relate. Other obligations or an ongoing enquiry can require longer retention; check before deleting records.
  • Bookkeeping supports financial statements and tax returns, but the scope of bookkeeping, tax advice, filings and audit should be agreed separately with the appropriate provider.

Preparing your application or filing

  • Tell us which registration, filing or certificate you need, the relevant person or legal entity, the tax year and the intended use.
  • We will identify the supporting information required for the agreed service and help prepare the application and liaise with the relevant authority.
  • For foreign entities and EU employers, explain the activities carried out in Cyprus so that registration and any separate tax or legal questions can be assessed.
  • Certificates and status confirmations are issued by the authorities, subject to eligibility and supporting evidence.

Tax registration questions

What documents do I need?

  • The documents depend on the registration, certificate or status application. Tell us whether you are applying as an individual, Cyprus company or foreign entity, and which service you need. We will identify the supporting information for your case.

Does tax registration establish Cyprus tax residency?

  • Tax registration and tax residency are separate matters. A tax identification number alone does not establish that you meet the tax-residency requirements. We can help organise the supporting information for a separate tax residency certificate application.

Is a non-dom application the same as a tax residency certificate application?

  • No. A non-dom application concerns non-domiciled status; a tax residency certificate concerns tax residence for the relevant period. Tell us if you need support with both applications.

How are fees agreed?

  • We review the application or filing required, the supporting records available and the administration involved, then agree the scope and fee before starting.
