Cyprus Tax Facts and Deadlines

  • Keeping transaction records current gives your business and its filing advisers time to prepare for Cyprus tax and reporting obligations. The dates that apply depend on your company’s registrations, reporting period and circumstances. Check the official source for your own deadline before acting.

Cyprus tax facts

  • Corporate income tax: the standard rate is 15% from the 2026 tax year. It applies to taxable profits, which may differ from the profit shown in your accounts because of tax adjustments, exemptions and deductions.
  • For individual income tax, the 2026 tax-free band is €22,000 of taxable income. This is different from a company’s corporate tax position, and a nil tax bill does not necessarily remove a filing obligation.

Deadlines to track

  • Company income tax returns: Confirm the tax year and current submission date with the Cyprus Tax Department. Published deadlines may be extended, so avoid relying on last year’s date.
  • Annual return and financial statements: Each company’s annual return date is specific to that company. The Registrar says the annual return is filed within 28 days of its drafting date; see its annual-return guidance and date calculator.
  • Employer obligations, where relevant: Employers should track payroll-related tax submissions and social insurance contributions with their payroll provider. The Social Insurance Services FAQ explains the usual contribution payment timing.

A practical record-preparation routine

  • Gather sales invoices, supplier invoices, receipts, bank statements and payment details regularly.
  • Reconcile bank activity and resolve missing or unclear supporting documents before the relevant reporting period closes.
  • Ask the professional responsible for each return what information they need and when they need it, allowing time before the official deadline.
  • Check the authority’s current calendar and notices for extensions or changes.
  • Asticrest provides bookkeeping for Cyprus registered companies and businesses based in Cyprus. We can discuss recording transactions, organising supporting records and reconciling bank accounts. This guide does not mean Asticrest files tax returns, payroll submissions or annual returns, or prepares audited financial statements.
